July 2009 my sweet little angel was born. Read the story here. July 28th, 2011, she is two years old! How did this happen? Am I old enough to be a mother of a 2 year old? Sometimes I feel like it was just yesterday I was getting my GED thinking how great it would be to be a wife and mother. And that it seemed like it was so far off. Now, 12 years later and I'm not only the mother of a 2 year old but an almost 4 month old as well! And man do I love it!
Tomorrow, Chloe turns 2. We are having her birthday party on Sunday and have invited all her little friends and cousins over for a swimming party. Since meeting Becky, that has opened a door to a lot of new people that we are friends with and it's been awesome for Chloe because all her little friends range in ages. I can't believe how big Chloe is. Her 2 yr check isnt until August but from what measurements we have gotten, she's 31 lbs and 36in tall. She has ALL her teeth including her 2 yr molars. And she has hair!! Not a whole lot but it's definitely growing and its such a beautiful color! I cant wait till I can actually do something with it! She's surprising us every day with how much she's understanding and she's saying new words all the time. I love watching her play with her daddy. They chase each other up and down the halls and they build things together. She helps daddy load and unload the dishes and she helps me cook. She loves her baby brother and constantly wants to hold him and burp him, and be helpful all around. We've been letting her help us do more things and she loves it. When we come home from the store, we make sure there is a bag she can carry, and we make sure she helps with the laundry, and cleaning up toys, and the dishes, and anything else we can think of. She loves to play outside and she loves to play with other kids. She's actually starting to say their names too! The two words that she has most problems saying correctly are book and Becky in which she says gook and gecky. It's totally cute actually! Jake and I sometimes love just watching her and seeing how her mind works. When she's asked to get something for me her big eyes light up and she gets a huge smile on her face! She likes reading books and coloring and playing with play doh. She likes playing in her sandbox and LOVES the outdoors. I think she would live out there if she could! Hard to believe she's two already! Man do they grow fast!

I know, right?!? How are they TWO?!? I'm so glad we were in the same birthing class...funny how God works things like that out, knowing years before we do that someday our paths will cross. I'm so glad they did, too. I'm really loving watching Chloe grow up and am happy to call her my adopted second daughter. :)
