Man its been awhile. Instead of taking time to blog, and forgetting half the time that I actually want to, I have been going to bed at a some what decent time! Usually. But I go to bed when Josiah goes to bed which lately, has been after Chloe is asleep and that has been 9pm or so. We put Josiah's crib in Chloe's room almost 2 weeks ago and its been working out great! We had one night that was rough but almost every night I can go in and get Josiah, nurse him on the couch, and go and put him back to bed (sometimes several times) and not wake Chloe. Its awesome! She loves her little brother. Constantly wanting to help me burp him, will bring me his blanket, binky, and burp rag. Always asking to hold him, sits by me or on me when Im holding him, and is constantly rubbing his tummy and saying hi to him. She still says "Hi Chloe" but is starting to say "Hi JJ" more now! I cant belieeve she's almost 2!! One week from tomorrow! And boy does she have the attitude for it! Starting to not listen and push her boundaries. She has re-entered the word no into her vocabulary and likes to use it often, usually when Im telling her no about something or asking her to do something. Man can she throw a fit! She's growing like a weed! She actually has hair! I know it's amazing! lol It's growing more and more and she has all her teeth including her 2 year molars. Yeah those werent fun and took forever to come in!! Her vocabulary is growing every day and she's constantly saying new words. I love it. I love watching her and seeing how her little mind works. She's so much fun!
Josiah is 3 months old now and really holding his head up. He's also starting to talk a lot more and laughing now. His smile and laugh and talk is completely different from Chloe. I still have to remind myself they arent the same child but its fun to compare then and see how they a re growing and what not. He does like to smile at his daddy and his sister. It's very cute! Oh and he's rolling over which is funny because he doesnt like to be on his stomach and yet he wont stop turning on to his tummy so then he complains! Its cute!
We've decided to cloth diaper. We were wanting to do this when Chloe was born but I was overwhelmed with the prices upfront *even if you do save money in the long run* and the over abundance of options! How was I suppose to know what was good and what would work for Chloe?? So I gave up. Well when I was pregnant with JJ, my friend Lee was looking into cloth diapers and her friend Brianna wanted to do a cloth diaper info gathering and invited me along. So Lee and I were able to see what the different brands were, how they fit, how to wash them, and ect. I still wasnt 100% ready to go forward because I didnt know what would work and didnt really want to spend the money to find out. However after JJ was born, Brianna and Lee and another cloth diapering friend Chantel all loaned me some diapers that I could try on JJ to decide if this is really what we wanted to do. And it was! We found diapers we liked that were way cheaper then what most people pay just for diapers! There's so much stuff to get when you cloth diaper. Most options, some essentials. But instead of paying the $300-400 upfront cost we paid maybe $200 on diapers! We really like the sunbaby diapers and Im just waiting for my order to come in. We did get some GroVia, Itti Bitti, and a KaWaii and I really like them as well. I am actually excited about doing this! And to be honest, I thought I would be the last person who would cloth diaper! Who knew!
Jake and I are doing well. Still trying to figure out this thing called finances! But who isnt? Jake's job is going well and his team has gotten bigger! Some of the "new guys" were already a part of the Key team just elsewhere and then they have one new guy, David whom we've actually gotten to know and hung out with a lot! He's 23 almost 24 and believes a lot like we do. Likes a lot of the same movies and same hobbies as Jake. He also hangs with Becky and Jason too! The 5 of us and the 3 kids all get together and hang and will be doing so to celebrate David, Chloe, and Kayla's birthdays!
We still love College Place area! We've made quite a few friends but really only hang regularly with a few. Becky and Jason. Lee and Aaron, specially now that they have moved back from Pullman, and David. We're still actively involved in our church and really loving the people there as well as our small group which is now being held here at our house! I never use to be one to get to know the women in our church. But we have a small church and really its kind of hard to "hide" in the crowd and not be seen. Specially when one's church is small and when one is playing piano every week for worship! But Im really enjoying the women, men too but mostly the women because I've been able to get to know them on a more personal level which has been really nice!
I still have things I need to figure out personally for me. For instance, how to make time for my journaling *God time*, how to not be so tired all the time *working on that one now*, how to actually start scrapbooking again and get frustrated with Chloe when she wants to "help" and how to cook/bake and have Chloe "help" me! Despite the fact that Im still learning things everyday about my two children and how to still live life, I love my life. My husband is wonderful and a great provider/protector and there for me when I need him most. My children even when they are frustrating me, and keeping me up at night, and causing me to lose my temper, are the most precious babies to me. I love watch them grow and change every day and love just kissing on them! Jake and I are truly blessed and know that God has SO much more planned for us! And Im actually excited to see what that is!!
