She's here!

Wow! What a couple weeks we have had! July 28th, 2009 at 7:39am, our little Chloe Elizabeth was born via c-section. She was 8lbs 7.4oz, 20.5in long. I went into the hospital on July 27th at 6pm because my water broke. At 10pm, I got the epidural-which btw, wasnt bad at all!! Better then the iv line they put in my arm! At 11pm they started the pitocin and basically told me to sleep that night. Which of course I didnt! But turned out to be ok cause I didnt have to do anything! lol At 5:30am, my nurse checked and said I was 4cm and her head was in position. At 6:30am, my dr checked and said I was at 5cm but that something wasnt feeling right, her station was kinda high, so he did an ultra sound. Only to find out that Chloe completely flipped and was now breech and head up! Silly girl has been in position since the beginning of the last tri-mester and now she decides to flip! So he did a c-section. Which, in all reality, was fine with me for several reasons. Most of you know I was praying that we would have Chloe on the 28th of July because that is my father in laws birthday and my deceased grandpas birthday. So I was hoping that would work out and I really wanted my dr to be able to deliver our baby. I really like my ob and would have been bummed if he wasnt able to deliver her. Which, if I didnt have her when I did, he probably would not have delivered her! So in all reality, it was a God thing that I got all that I wanted! Plus, now my little one has a perfect round little head! We stayed in the hospital till thursday and then went home.

Today she is 2 weeks old and doing great! She's 9lbs, 21.5in long already! She's totally adorable and her face is already changing! I love sitting and holding her and watching her. When she eats, sleeps, crys, she makes the cutest faces and she's just totally adorable! I love being a mom! And Jacob is a wonderful daddy! He helps me at night if I need him to and he enjoys her. He's fun to watch with her! Oh and he's a big help in the diaper changing area! We've also had my mom here since July 25th and she too has been a big help! Im not sure what Im going to do when she goes home and Im really alone with the baby and no one to help but Zoe the dog! Who btw is curious about the baby, specially when she crys but for the most part is doing well with the new addition. We've been really good about trying to include in her and let her know she is still part of the family. She's a good dog!

Here's a website with all the pics of Chloe's birth. Enjoy!!
