I will do my best to keep you all up to date as best as possible! I am hoping to do more blogging now that my computer is much more accessible! But I am about to have a baby so I am sure that will take some adjustment first! Speaking of baby, all is well, with baby anyways! Mom not so much! Only because being 9 months pregnant in 80-90 degree weather with no ac is pretty miserable! On top of the aches and pains of being so mondo huge, and the fact that this baby seems pretty happy in my belly and not showing signs of coming early! Except for the false back labor it has been trying to give me! Otherwise baby is doing well. Head down, which is moot since it will be born via c-section whether I am early or not! Still moving, not quite as much but is getting more of a routine to its movements! Dr expects baby to be between 8-9lbs but not actually reach 9lbs. I think baby will be 9lbs so we shall see who guessed right! ha! lol As for ready for baby? We are! Mostly! We still have 2 tupperwares full of baby clothes, one from each gender that will be pulled out when we know what baby is. We have the bassinet in our room and the swing downstairs. The changing table will be assembled tonight and the dresser is in Chloe's closet/playroom now. We have a nursing cover and ring sling and the diaper bag all ready. I am hoping to make a mei tai wrap before baby comes but that requires sewing which I am not super confident with but hoping to try!! We have 4 burp rags that are out and ready as well. We have things on our registry that we will need once baby is here but wont need those till a little later so no worries there! Btw we are registered at Target under my name, Merrie Nickoloff. Anyways, for the most part, the main esssentials *except some diapers but that's easy to get* are ready to go! So when baby comes, whether early or at c-section date, we are ready!
As for our new place, well we are slowly getting more settled. Still some boxes to go through in the kitchen, in our room-those are mostly Jake's boxes, and then my craft room which will happen after we buy shelves! But its starting to look like we actually live here! And we are hoping to get some pictures up too while we are here just to make it a little more like home!
Jake is settling into his new job very nicely as well. He's really enjoying his coworkers and he loves HP. They are somewhat similar to Key but also have some differences and he is liking it. His manager is also making sure he is getting connected and that we are doing well and finding what we need. And his manager has only been at HP a week longer then Jake!! But he's been really nice and helpful to us!
As for Vancouver? Well we are able to drive around now mostly without gps! Finally!! We are starting to know our way around and finding areas we really like and which places to shop at! It's definitely more green and not as much rain as I was expecting! And its been hot! I am actually PRAYING for rain these days just so it cools down a bit!! Dang! lol We still have our moments of feeling like we can't believe that we are here. Living in Vancouver, but we are for the most part settling in. We actually just had mom down for the first time since we have moved here and had a great time!!
Kids are adjusting as well. I think Chloe is a little lonely and in need of some friends but hoping that will change once we find a church and get her in school. Both of which will happen hopefully soon! We have been enjoying not having to be at church and just able to do what we want. We miss New Life terribly and even our responsibilities there but we are also enjoying our free time! That and really, what prego wants to give up sleeping in 2 days in a row!!
And our house in WW? Well its finally on the market!! The cleaners came in and cleaned it all up and the landscapers were suppose to start on our yard this last week and hopefully finish this next week! Things are getting better even if baby isn't coming early :P We would love visitors! If you want to come see us, just let us know, we are pretty open!! The baby shower will be held in Walla Walla and will be in Sept sometime. Will let you know when I know! And I promise to try and stay more up to date! We will send out our address when we do the baby announcements but if you want our address before then, please message/email me and I will get it to you!!
