Black Friday

Last year, Jake and I attended Black Friday at Walmart. It wasn't bad. And we were able to get Chloe's table $10 cheaper. It was a good day and only slightly busier then normal. This year I attended alone. I got a call from one of my best friends, Miki, who was at walmart in Kennewick. She'd gone at 8pm and was now waiting for 10pm so she could pay for it. You couldn;t buy anything till 10 cause that's when the sale started.

Now she was telling me in detail how crazy it was at her Walmart. I was amazed at what she was telling me. Lots of people but really good prices on things! So I wanted to check it out myself. So I went to our Walmart. Now I'm in a small town with more surrounding small towns. Walmart is the only store like it for 50 miles. I knew Kennewick would have a lot of people, they always do! But our Walmart, I was not expecting what I saw! And I wish I had pictures to show the craziness! I've seen our walmart busy. But never this busy and the parking lot never this full. The way our walmart is setup is you have the store, a road in front of it and then a strip mall on the other side and then a bank and Panda Express then a les schwab behind that. The whole parking lot was full, the parking lot in the strip mall was full. The bank, Panda express, les schwab, all full. There were even cars in the drive up bank lines, 2=3. I parked almost behind les schwab! It was really full! I've never ever seen it this full!! Then you go inside and it's pure madness! I heard people talking about breaking up towel fights, and hiding their stuff in their carts so it wouldn't get stolen! You could barely get a cart through the crowd of rudely insane people! I was lucky, no one tried to steal things from me or fight with me. I minded my own business, was polite, and did my best to get what I wanted and go! I actually got some great deals! But man it was crazy! So because of this craziness, I've decided that next year, I will be down shopping for Christmas presents by Thanksgiving so I can sit back and laugh at everyone still trying to shop! Ok not really but I do want to be done early for my shopping. I'd rather stay home and relax instead of trying to get a good deal! And if I have my shopping done, less tempting to go out and get deals!
